The first US Maple album with the long hair—that’s the most rock-and-roll vibe they had. It was a string of hits too (hey king, letter to ZZ Top, magic job, when a man say ow...). Then you have the second one, the Sang Phat era; it's totally gritty and honestly my favorite. There was this moment where they basically let Wiz and Lutembaker crash the studio just to finish the track... Talker is a bit more mellow, but still great. They lost their edge on those last two. Live, though? They're absolute masters. There's a chance you might not dig them 🙂...

I haven't listened to any metalheads since the AM era, so I wouldn't know.

I checked out the first three Maple albums and some early Killmen, but nothing really stuck

As for Titk, I listened to the first two, though it’s mostly a blur... except for that "dope guns & fucking in the streets" track. That might honestly be the heaviest thing I've ever heard 🙂

I wouldn't mind being there. It's just... there aren't enough people to really get the vibe going. Honestly, half the crowd probably only showed up because of Motus

The concert was honestly kind of a mess, but I guess it was cool enough to see the new Motus lineup. Listening to the same old stuff felt a little repetitive, though 😬 (seriously, bring back Zoki on guitar—he can be a handful, but at least he actually knows how to play), even if the guy on bass is absolutely killing it 🙏

I’m satisfied. It was high energy, certainly, but calling it a mass movement? That’s at least a month too early.
