Gladiator went through something genuinely rough and decided to open up to us because he thinks we're worth it. He trusts us. I’d feel like the absolute lowest person on earth if I didn't honor that trust and show some empathy, especially since—even though I don't know him personally—I see Gladiator as a decent, respectful guy who hasn't done anything to warrant this kind of treatment.
in moments like this, if you don't have anything constructive to contribute, just stay quiet... and at the very least, stop attacking Gladiator or the rest of us.

Look, (provided he isn't peddling snake oil like that charlatan you all fell for) I feel for the guy. With the necessary caveats, since we don't know the actual facts—and life is rarely black and white, usually just various shades of gray—there are plenty of ways to read this. Maybe he was just doing his job and got jumped by ten drugged-up illegal immigrants wielding blades, or maybe he was shaking down some poor soul... you never really know.

Gladiator used to train the same stuff I’m grinding through right now for a bit... he actually still hangs out with my coach, too. I even know his name and have some old photos from when he was over at that Jiu-Jitsu seminar in Germany...
