Sick Leave Review Board: Business Hours

Honestly, I have absolutely no clue where to host this discussion... 🙄

Tomorrow, I have to head over to the Social Security Administration office at 1500 Pennsylvania Avenue to deal with my disability extension.

And for some reason, I can't get a straight answer on their actual operating hours—I know they're open in the morning, but nobody seems to specify the exact window...

Any advice? 😢

My gut feeling—if you know anything about these things—is that earlier is better. For instance, the clinic near my doctor's office in downtown Chicago follows that same pattern; if I show up at 7:00 AM just to grab a prescription, the waiting room is already packed...

I think they’re open from about 7:30 to 3:00.
It’s always packed when you show up, but you’ll eventually get through the line.
Grab something to read to pass the time.
Just make sure you don't roll in right during their break around 11:00.
