Me? Am I really the one you're talking about? 🤔

Blunt is the absolute gold standard, and honestly, anyone out there trashing him probably belongs in a padded cell listening to nothing but mindless pop trash instead.🙂 ..Blunt doesn't just make noise; he possesses a truly unique vocal gift. Even if you want to claim he's a total loser who can't get anything right, nobody would even know his name if it weren't for us. Besides, if you're just bitter about who pushed you into this hobby in the first place, fine, but someone has to play the villain. At the end of the day, we are here to discuss the song, not the singer.

Man, what did that song do to you to hurt you this much?

Personally, I think "No Bravery" and "Cry" are his absolute best tracks... but honestly, 👍"Goodbye My Lover" is just such a stunning song.

Steven Johnson96 said:Blunt is the absolute truth. Anyone hating on him probably checked themselves into an asylum just to listen to trashy country music all day.

Just admit it, man. You’re the only one who didn't realize you were checking into the psych ward, so now you're blaming everyone else for being crazy.

I mean, I guess some half-wit thinks Stephen Hawking had a "unique" voice too—or that we call kids with Down syndrome "special."🙄

To me, he’s just completely soul-less—total blank slate. But hey, Steven Johnson96, if you're really that desperate for a unique vocal style, why don't you give Jeff Buckley a shot? That guy actually knows how to craft a damn song.

Justin Timberlake

Just a whining, mediocre, vacant-eyed hack whose high-pitched, artificial wailing somehow manages to slip past the ears and hit a primal chord—completely bypassing any actual intelligence. He's the avatar of the soulless, representing those passionless, lyrically inept acoustic strumming sessions that clog up the American music industry like a massive grease clog in a New York City sewer system. He’s the kind of amateur who jumps into his own songs way too early and keeps them on the record, genuinely believing it makes him look edgy, witty, or relatable.

"Blunt" sounds an awful lot like a certain four-letter profanity. Coincidence? I think not.

There’s a little-known rumor that Jamie Blunt actually recorded his whole album while hooked up to car batteries via alligator clips—which would certainly explain that "I just stepped on a Lego" quality to his voice. If you pay close attention, you can pinpoint the exact second the current hits.

ruggedcrane22 said:I caught a Little Soldier show at Madison Square Garden (strictly for work reasons, obviously) and the first thing I noticed is how Blunt just totally disappears behind that massive dreadnought guitar—he looks like a mouse peeking out from a hole. Everything he owns screams "Hotel California," and the joke of the night was when he announced he was about to play "Hotel California." Even better? At the end, he played "Where Is My Mind?" by Pixies, and it was so seamless you wouldn't even realize he wasn't playing "Hotel California." To paraphrase Paul Weller: "I'd rather eat dirt than go to another Blunt concert."

I mean, I gotta say, Blunt is a total genius too.
Does anyone know if there’s more stuff with rhythms like this?
It kind of reminds me of how Paolo Nutini sounds on New Shoes.👍
I really need a playlist of tracks with those jive vibes and catchy melodies—you know, something chill for hanging out with friends.

I honestly don't think I'll ever understand why people feel the need to bash or belittle musicians. Does it actually make you feel better about yourself or more superior? If you aren't a fan, just don't listen—there's really no need to start an argument. Who are we to judge someone else's musical taste?

Just listen to what you enjoy and stay away from all those pointless debates...

If you can't find the soul to relax and appreciate the peace and beauty in his voice, that's on you. To truly feel the beauty in the lyrics... that love... like in the song Goodbye My Lover. But then again, everyone has their own music for their soul... 😉

And who are you to call me (and others) soulless just because I don't care for his wailing? Do you feel more enlightened or superior now? I honestly never get why people resort to that "if you don't like it, don't listen" argument. This is a forum; people are naturally going to post negative things about stuff you happen to love. Just accept it and life will be easier.

Back to the topic... regarding the lyrics, there's a fine line between being romantic and being pathetic, and he definitely crossed it.

Mark Clark76 said:And who even are you to come in here and lecture me—and everyone else, for that matter—about having "no soul" just because I can't stand his wailing? Does that make you feel all high and mighty now? Honestly, I’ll never get why people always resort to that "if you don't like it, don't listen" nonsense. This is an online forum, guys. People are obviously going to talk trash about stuff you love. Just deal with it and life will be easier.

Anyway, back to the point... regarding the lyrics, there's a really fine line between being heartfelt and just being straight-up pathetic, and I think he crossed it by a mile.

So, does anyone know if there are any other tracks with those jive rhythms like in Stay The Night?
Please, hit me with whatever comes to mind.

Honestly, I think he’s got some even better tracks out there... but this one is definitely his 😍 😢

The thing about this song is that everyone can find a little piece of themselves in it 🙂

I just love it 🙏.. and I don't know.. sometimes he comes across as almost vulnerable or timid, but that's actually why I find him so 🙂

He strikes me as quite charismatic 😍
