That’s a fantastic movie. I saw it ages ago and had no idea Spielberg directed it. Maybe he can actually pull off a decent film once in a while.

I’ve had this on VHS sitting on my shelf for years. It’s a brilliant piece of cinema. After all, he’s the one who really broke through in the USA.

I can't help but feel that Spielberg lost his edge after that. It’s almost as if Hollywood's influence began to erode his vision.

The legendary Harrison Ford is a major reason why. He’s always been one of my favorite icons; I’ve sat through plenty of low-budget flicks just because his name was on the box.😎

So, I just sat down and rewatched it after all this time. And honestly? I don't know what to tell you, it still hits just as hard. Even looking at the title alone (Blood + Skin), you can kind of sense right away that this isn't your typical garbage—it’s bold, it’s fresh, it’s actually *good*.
Even by today's standards, it holds up.

Seriously, I was totally sucked in. It felt like being dropped right into the middle of some hyper-realistic, twistedly flavored medieval stage play. Spielberg really knew how to package that vibe perfectly. This movie is living proof that you don't need those massive, over-the-top Hollywood sets to capture those gritty stereotypes we're all so used to seeing. The soundtrack absolutely rips, as usual, and those raw, aggressive scenes leave you craving something way more 😁

Sure, the action in the last half hour gets a little clunky in a few spots, but I’m willing to overlook that. At the end of the day, we're talking about an unforgettable medieval adventure that definitely earns its spot in the hall of fame.

Spielberg is easily in my top 5 directors, and this movie is an absolute masterpiece. If you haven't seen it yet and you're looking for something actually good—not some CGI-heavy garbage set in the Middle Ages where characters spout modern philosophy like they're at a TED Talk—then watch this. It’s done right: bloody, gritty, and just damn good.
