To me, those two women seemed completely out of it—I can't quite tell if they were just checked out, or if there was some underlying drama with their partners... I don't know. 😁

The film lacks any real cinematic substance—it is almost entirely musical in nature—though I suppose there are occasional flashes of actual storytelling. I happen to have a soundtree as well — though perhaps mine isn't quite as lively as yours.

The film is 👍...whatever, it's not bad, it's fine. But like I said, its value... it really needs to be experienced through the medium of film itself.

To me, "cinematic" meant more along the lines of being documentary-style—since, truthfully, there are plenty of much better documentaries out there in the States.

That’s my point. But none of them hit like this one. It's not perfect, but it succeeds at capturing that specific vibe of Istanbul... even if just a little. 😉 At least for me.

I didn't catch it in theaters and honestly, I regret missing those snowy landscapes and peaks on the big screen.

Watched it. It was great. That sterile vibe they used to film the actual people bugged me at first—feels too much like a TV doc, and that's the last thing you want in a cinema—but thirty minutes in, I was totally hooked and forgot all about it. Though, let's be real, those hallucination scenes could've been handled way more subtly (aka better).

Anyway, is it just me, or does Simon look like he stepped straight out of a Nick Park movie? 😁

I haven't caught any of these documentaries yet, but I just saw they extended the screenings through November 30th!
So, starting today... I'm definitely making time to see which one to pick.

Touching The Void is outstanding! (The guy didn't exactly ask for a broken companion to burn his clothes, which seems pretty suspicious, though maybe it was just guilt or stress?)...👍

Penguins feel like some cartoon with anthropomorphized characters, kind of how a toddler might imagine penguins—banal, superficial filmmaking lacking even an ounce of intellectual curiosity, just pure emotional manipulation
... the most tedious half-cartoon, half-documentary I have ever watched...👎

Just finished watching "Touching The Void" and man, it was absolutely gripping! 👍 👍
The story is just unreal... it’s enough to make you shiver...😁 😲 I mean, what that guy went through... absolute chills.😲 Most people would have completely lost their minds by then—he managed to hold it together without succumbing to hallucinations until almost the very end. For most of us, once we hit a pit that deep, our brains would have checked out entirely.😁 Truly fascinating stuff...

As for those penguins... hmm... well, they weren't half bad, I suppose... but they definitely didn't live up to all the massive hype. The whole thing felt a bit underwhelming to me... 😲
When you see something like that, it really puts things into perspective—makes you realize that, all things considered, life is actually looking pretty decent from where I'm sitting. 😁 😁
