Well, I hadn't really looked at it from that angle before... but honestly, because of that annoying interruption back then, I never actually finished watching "Body Bags"—not even up to this very day!

I actually wanted to ask you—did you say that Body Bags was airing right at the exact moment the news broke about DrFT's passing? I honestly had no idea, so I'm a little out of the loop on that one.

I just took a quick trip over to IMDb to double-check everything—and yeah, that was definitely the one. They cut it off right at the most intense part of the episode, specifically during that creepy gas station scene...

Watched Dark Star yesterday. First time seeing it. And on the big screen, too. The sound was a little rough, I guess, but the movie and everything else about it is just: 😍 😍 😍

Personally, I think Halloween is the best one, and Prince of Darkness is pretty solid too

I was catching some 😍 Dark Star 😍 yesterday evening, and while I have to admit the audio quality was a bit rough around the edges, honestly, the movie itself and everything surrounding it is just: 😍

They Live features one of the best scenes ever made. It’s such an original concept, and that legendary one-liner—"I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum"—is iconic.🤣

Halloween is a total classic. 😁 The direction, acting, atmosphere, music, and the smart script are all top-tier. It sticks to a simple story without overexplaining the villain, which honestly makes it even scarier. My only gripes are how predictable parts can be and the fact that those idiot producers churned out a mountain of sequels and a remake that basically gutted the vibe of the original.

The Thing is easily one of his best, if not quite his absolute peak (it's been a while since I sat down to rewatch it).

Prince of Darkness-great movie, regardless of what anyone else thinks. Strong acting, compelling characters, plenty of tension, and a killer soundtrack.

Vampires-fun modern vampire western. James Woods rules.😁

Big Trouble in Little China-probably my favorite of his.😁 The characters are hilarious, the action is great, the effects are campy, and the monsters and humor hit just right. Plus, Kurt Russell rules.😁

The Thing is my absolute favorite film of all time. Honestly, most of his other work holds up quite well too—I even found myself enjoying Ghosts of Mars on its own merits.😁

Honestly, thank God he exists. That fascination he has with the Hawks-Ford-Leone style is spot on; without that Western influence, we wouldn't have had the police station attack, the escape from New York City, or Big Trouble in Little China—it sounds crude on the surface, but it's all masterfully woven together. It was also a brilliant move to film The Thing; it gave Cronenberg's obsession with flesh, transformation, and the grotesque a worthy cinematic counterpart. And filming Prince of Darkness was just as smart, because you need a film where the editing and pacing approach perfection every now and then. Plus, having the Vampires around is great, because in their heavily clichéd, black-and-white one-dimensionality, they are actually quite brutal.

And there's plenty more good stuff I won't mention, simply out of politeness.

America is just this modern void, suffocating under clichés, shallow dialogue, and green-eyed starlets. Consumerism wraps everything up in colorful PG-rated cellophane, leaving today's youth completely unable to appreciate actual substance because they've been conditioned to expect nothing but surface-level fluff.

It’s probably best to just live by Martin Quatermass's mantra: I'm a long-term pessimist and a short-term optimist.

I think Big Trouble in Little China aired on CBS a few months back, maybe around October or November...
The police raid, Christina, Fog, Halloween, and stvor are my absolute favorites... probably just because they shaped my childhood, though Oni Zivjeti, Bijeg, L. A., New York City, and Dark Prince are also top-tier....

I can't recall if anyone brought up "into the jaws of madness" starring Sam Neil, but that's a legit horror flick in my book. 👍
