Where else can one find Omega-3 besides fish? I recall reading somewhere that there are other sources, yet the specific details have completely escaped my memory 😵

There’s this specific concoction—garlic mixed with lemon—that is supposedly incredible for shedding fat. People drink it first thing in the morning for about forty days, and honestly, some folks have seen some pretty staggering results with it.
I don't actually have the exact recipe on hand—my mother is the one who keeps these little secrets tucked away—and my uncle, who is a doctor, swears by it quite emphatically. Apparently, this old-school remedy from an ancient apothecary isn't just hearsay; even blood work shows it actually works.
I'll shoot my mom an email to see if she can write down how this miracle cure is made—though, given how much she avoids sitting at a computer, I might not hear back for a week or so. Or perhaps someone else here on the forum has already heard the buzz about it?

😕 Walk me through that! You didn't actually say anything that contradicts my point. I said we’re getting way too much Omega-6, but you're just going, "Well, they have Omega-6, so we're getting enough of that essential fatty acid." Actually, it's not that we aren't getting enough Omega-6... it's that we're consuming way too much of it.

Do you mean flaxseed?
That's what my sister uses instead of peanuts.

Yeah, okay, you got me there. My bad, I guess I totally missed the part where you used the word "overdosing"... 😉 👍

my sister basically lives on those instead of peanuts

Yeah, I mean as long as she keeps it up while staying healthy... 😉

LINUM USITATISSIMUM, Linaceae - FLAX

People have been using flaxseed since around 5000 B.C. way back in Mesopotamia. It's mostly grown to get that oil out of it. That oil is packed with omega-3 fatty acids—you know, alpha-linolenic acid and EPA—which basically turn into these hormone-like substances that handle all sorts of important biological stuff in your body. Plus, it's got tocopherol, which acts as an antioxidant.
Flax is also one of the best sources of lignans, which have this estrogen-like effect. Overall, the whole mix helps ease those neurovegetative symptoms you get during menopause, lowers cholesterol levels, and can even help prevent atherosclerosis.
