Well, it’s a bit of a long story, but to put it simply, I honestly can't remember what it felt like to be stuck in my own head before I started. It’s about addressing those deep-seated constitutional issues you eventually just learn to tolerate—the kind of stuff you stop noticing because you think it's normal—and preemptively stopping future health problems from ever taking root, or at least catching them early enough to matter. Of course, it all hinges entirely on the skill of your practitioner; I have absolutely zero patience for charlatans or cheap New Age nonsense. A perfect example would be women dealing with things like painful or irregular periods and cysts; acupuncture can essentially resolve those issues for good, which in turn lowers the risk of developing breast cancer or other hormone-related conditions down the line. That’s just one small slice of the pie.

Elektra said:It honestly hits me hard when I see so many girls out and about nowadays walking around with their midriffs and backs completely exposed. Personally, I know all too well what it feels like to be stuck in bed with a 102-degree fever and kidney pains so intense you can't even roll over. 😢

+ Not to mention when your doctor casually drops that you might be looking at chronic kidney issues down the line or even the possibility of being unable to have kids later on. 😢

For me, there’s really no other choice but to play it safe. What good is a heavy sweater or a long-sleeved shirt if I'm not wearing a base layer underneath?

Exactly. That's precisely what I was getting at when I mentioned how I used to be totally reckless until some illness finally caught up with me. About two years ago, I got hit by this whole ordeal, and ever since then, I've been extremely cautious. Thank goodness I'm naturally sensitive to the cold, so I dress warmly; I honestly shudder whenever I see teenagers walking around in -5 degree weather wearing crop tops that end well above the waist...😲

I’m pulling 12-hour shifts every single day, including weekends, and my diet? Yeah, it’s absolute garbage, unfortunately... the only saving grace is that I hit aerobics and pilates classes and still find plenty of reasons to laugh...
I am beyond exhausted....😢

I’m basically training my fingers through constant typing and working on my wrist flexibility with the mouse. Plus, I’ve mastered the art of sitting in an office chair all day long.

I make sure to detox my system regularly with plenty of craft beer.

And I keep my physique in peak shape thanks to a steady diet of junk food.

At this rate, I might just live to be 120. 😂

I eat healthy,
which means I refuse to touch anything unless I know exactly what’s inside it.
For instance, I won't be fooled by those corporate junk foods you see advertised all over TV—it's basically like they're selling detergent instead of food.
No processed meal replacement shakes either, no matter how much Jack Grga tries to sell them.
And forget about those vitamin and mineral supplements; I prefer getting my nutrients directly from diverse, whole foods that actually taste good and provide what I need.
The idea of falling for brands like Wellness or whatever else comes along doesn't even cross my mind... I know there's nothing behind it but cheap products sold at premium prices that are useless—and frankly, often harmful.
It's all just marketing designed to prey on the naive.

If you recognize yourself in my post, please don't bother replying—I have zero patience for pushy, aggressive salespeople.

Staying active is my whole thing—it’s what keeps me happy and honestly just feels so fulfilling...
My mornings usually kick off with coffee and that one terrible habit, smoking,
sometimes I look at myself and wonder how I can be such an idiot 😠
—like, why am I consciously doing this to myself?! My family picks up local produce from the farmer's market, though avoiding GMOs entirely is basically impossible nowadays. Still, I’d say my diet is pretty solid since I don't eat meat... plus, I keep things varied.
Having some morning intimacy 🙂 🙂 man, that is just the sweetest thing... and mmm, so good. I can't start every single day like that since we don't live together, but it doesn't really affect my skin, haha—just my mood. As for sleep... I get about 7-8 hours, and I definitely catch up on rest before Sunday rolls around.🙂
I'm the type of person who laughs a lot and tries to make sure every single day
is filled with little things that bring me joy and time spent with friends who truly mean the world to me.😁 hmm, I guess that's pretty much the short version.

-I quit smoking to get my health back on track
-I eat plenty of fruits, veggies, and fish, though I try to keep red meat to a minimum
-I don't really drink; maybe just the occasional glass of red wine when I'm out with friends
-My sleep is pretty steady—6 to 7 hours seems to be just enough for me
-I'm not much of a gym person, but I do a lot of walking
-I make sure to laugh whenever something is actually funny😁
-I tend to stay optimistic about what's ahead
-I go for my annual Pap smear and I do monthly breast self-exams

I guess that covers everything...🤔

I dabble with some powder now and then, and occasionally I find myself lighting up a joint too 😁

I honestly think people are at their healthiest when they just do whatever feels right in the moment. 🙂

If you actually bother to listen to your own body, it becomes pretty obvious that you can't stay on a strict diet forever. You also can't live a perfectly "healthy" lifestyle 24/7 without constantly sacrificing everything you enjoy, and eventually, you just snap. 😁

Looking back at all my bad habits, I guess a few decent ones managed to sneak in there too.
- I love water; I drink a ton of it, and it’s the first thing I reach for every morning.
- Every time the bus is late, I lose my mind a little and end up power-walking everywhere—to work, to campus, all over town...
- Once a month, I get this sudden urge to go for a run, and a couple of times a year, I feel like hitting some hiking trails.
- When I want something, I need it right then and there. So, if I'm hunting down a specific movie at a shop, I'll basically run a marathon across the city just to find it. RIGHT NOW.
- I still have my medals from high school sports days lying around at home, so I can definitely brag about them whenever someone comes over to visit. 😁

Honestly wouldn't surprise me. You're acting like a total nutcase.
😁
But hey, maybe it suits you...
