Look, I get it... Anthrax is a legendary band. Seriously, do yourself a favor and download "Got the Time"—it’s basically The Offspring in spirit, but it's a massive hit. My only gripe is how they pulled all the old members together for this tour—the singer, the guitarist, the whole classic lineup—after spending fifteen years trashing each other in the press. It feels a bit hollow when a band that always stood for being genuine starts acting like they're just playing a part for a paycheck... 😢

Look, SXSW is total garbage, but since we don't really have much of a metal scene to speak of here in the States, SXSW is actually still pretty great!

I'm with you on this. South by Southwest is a complete joke. Last year’s event in San Diego was an absolute embarrassment from start to finish—the organization was a disaster. I seriously doubt they’ll even manage to pull off a three-day lineup like they’re claiming. Honestly, we’d be lucky if we even got one day of actual music.

I wasn't there last year, so I can't speak to that specific mess. This year, I might actually make the trip if things like transportation, hotels, and everything else fall into place properly.

But, look—I went to Metal Camp last year and it was incredible. The only downsides were that it rained about 2,178,91 times, and Dark Funeral ended up missing their set because some idiots messed up their flights at the airport. Other than that? The organization was top-tier. I’d definitely tell anyone who can swing it to go if they have the chance.

I’m heading to San Diego this year just to kill some time and get out of the city, even if none of these supposed bands actually show up.
I’m really hoping the organization improves this time. I don't want to be shoved back into that cramped little shed of a venue without any AC when it's 95 degrees outside.
Honestly, I have my doubts about this whole three-day metal thing. It sounds way too good to be true, especially for an American production.🙂
I might look into hitting up a festival in Vegas instead; at least they actually know how to run things over there.

Personally, regarding SXSW, I wouldn't bet on 👍 , more like 🙄. It’s hard to believe this thing actually lasts three full days or that every single band they promised will even show up. Half of them will probably flake out, just like last time. Plus, there's always going to be some kind of budget crisis, too. And who knows? They might try to cram everything into one hall because of some local folk music night or whatever, just like they did before. Basically, don't hold your breath. 👍 "
