Blade Trilogy

I just finished watching an absolutely fantastic movie!

This movie is killer! It’s just a hair behind the first one, but honestly? Way better than the sequel. I'd say it's a must-watch if you're into sharp blades and good old-fashioned bloodshed.😁

I have to disagree with you there, my friend. Honestly, the third installment feels like a carbon copy of the second—it almost feels like they just recycled it! They really only introduced two new main characters to shake things up.

P.S. If it weren't for Jessica, would anyone even bother watching this?😉

The first one was okay, but the sequel is much better. The main villains were a massive casting fail, though.
Snipes looks completely washed up.

Even if I had been by myself, I would have stayed in the theater. We went to the coffee shop because there was nothing else to do.

The movie was honestly terrible.

Good movie. I mean... what can I say... damn, this is Blade, not Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Draco is a cool guy, but... he's unrefined. A few hints in his dialogue suggest he could have been much better characterized. Blade is... too quiet. Mute, silent, acting all cool when he actually looks like he just got hit in the head with a wet rag. King is easily the best thing in the film. Little Whistler is just... blah, your typical modern female 'action' hero. Tank top, nasty attitude, and weird gadgets.

The only truly irritatingly poorly acted and generally nonsensical thing is that vampire girl 'with teeth in her vagina.' Come on 🙄 She is annoying, whiny, and just... I don't know. It feels like vampires are progressively becoming stupider with every new Blade installment.

To me, vampires should be either like that guy whom other vampires kill in... a duo? Or a unit? Or like the main character in Underworld.

I can handle arrogance and swagger when it's tempered by age, experience, obvious 'patriarchal' charisma, and some kind of aura of ancient power. But when some Sex and the City thirty-somethings in makeup-heavy urban outfits, 'neonates,' start squabbling and fighting... come on, they are asking for it.

I like how Draco looks like a youthful figure, because honestly, if a guy can choose how he looks, of course he's going to look badass. They really should have used some... I don't know, acting tricks or script changes to build in some sense of... ancientness and authority.

To me, he seems like a Russian mobster (and he looks like one too); everyone is afraid of him because he is the strongest and once you've bowed down to him for some drug, you can never be sure he won't shoot you 'on a whim,' rather than having a bloodright to rule as the damn progenitor of the race.

Vampires, I say again, are becoming more and more like the 'Russian mafia' and less like the 'Italian mafia.' Just a bunch of moronic power-mongers and jerks who don't understand that their position and apparent superiority rely on the laws of a very natural and very precise balance.

Holy hell, what a movie. *WHAT A MOVIE*.

I don't know about you guys, but I haven't laughed that hard since Charlie's Angel 2. You know, that part where Drew, Cameron, and Lucy tumble down a dam alongside a helicopter? Yeah. Blade RULES.

Draco is basically the American blueprint for a handsome man. He’s got those chiseled jawlines and that sharp intelligence in his eyes. Honestly, that’s exactly how I pictured the first and most powerful member of a vampire clan. Face it. He’s cool. He’s 5'10". He wears leather pants.

Snipes is untouchable. He commands the screen just like the legends from the Golden Age of Hollywood. He’s easily the best thing to happen to action cinema since Bruce Willis. Katanas, Hecklers—you name it, he’s got it.

Jessica—ah, Jessica. Subtle, cool, lethal...🙂 And she's wearing earbuds right in the middle of a fight.

Solid, solid film. Now go see it for yourself.

The movie was honestly kind of trash (no offense to anyone who actually liked it), but I couldn't stop staring at that actress playing the vampire... you know, the main guy's sister. Does anyone remember her name?
I'm hoping you guys know who I'm talking about—dark hair, great legs😁.

Blade and Blade 2 are top-tier, absolute classics... but Blade Trinity? It’s just okay. Honestly, the plot feels like a messy mashup of the first two movies—you can really see where they tried to stitch them together. Like, remember that scene with the Rottweilers and the poodle? Their mouths looked exactly like those Reapers from Blade 2 Bloodlust... total weirdness. I can rewatch the first two any day because they actually have that raw energy and grit, whereas the third one is mostly just this part haha

You could wait another month just to round it up to 12 years before digging up some dead topic.

The first two Blade Trinity films were actually quite solid, though I have to admit the third one felt like a bit of a letdown. It’s honestly such a missed opportunity that they haven't put together a fourth installment in nearly twelve years; if they could just land some top-tier actors and bring in a truly visionary director and screenwriter, there is enough untapped potential there for an absolute masterpiece.

Maybe it’s better if they don't even bother. Usually, only the first two parts of a franchise hit the mark, and everything after just goes downhill. In my book, the first two should've been it, but since they pushed through with a third and flopped, that was it... I doubt we'll see a fourth, but if it's gonna be anything like that third one, let's just leave it alone... just my two cents though...
