Who was itβ€”which agency or firm, specifically?

I’d love some more details, if you don't mind. πŸ™‚

Thanks in advance!

I’ve got a feeling Expedia is moving toward an Expedia deal...

Hehe, that’s exactly what I’m planning. πŸ˜‰
I'll probably sit down sometime this summer, crunch all the numbers on paper, and see which option actually makes more sense financially. πŸ˜‰

Personally, I’d much rather just drive. It gives you so much more freedom since you aren't tied to a specific schedule or a set route, right? And since my car runs on propane, it could end up being surprisingly cheap. πŸ˜‰
(I'm estimating maybe $133 for gas round-trip, plus a bit for tollsβ€”even if I can skip πŸ˜β€”plus the ticket price, so it comes out to roughly $333
). Of course, if I can get four people in the car, the cost per person drops significantly. πŸ˜‰

By the way, looking at the ticket prices, they have general admission ranging from $70 to $90, and then "stands" starting at $160 and up.
(I assume "stands" refers to the grandstands, while general admission is just for the lawn areas and open spaces nearby? πŸ™‚)

πŸ€” Look, general admission has stayed around $50 for years and hasn't budgedβ€”and they aren't talking about standing in some random field πŸ˜‚ when they say that. It's actually right along the trackβ€”specifically in the hairpin turnsβ€”usually just a few feet away from the action. πŸ˜‰

As for the agencies, I highly doubt any of them will make the cutβ€”Universum is basically a closed shop, and while maybe someone from CK could sneak in, I’m not holding my breath.

The one who organizes trips for the local auto club is handling it, so if there are any openings left, she might just squeeze herself in.

Back when I was heading over to Austria in 2003, Compass used to organize trips to all these races...

But honestly, what a massive pain in the ass it is to drive all the way to Milwaukee...

Still better than trekking down to Imole. πŸ˜‰

It’s actually a shorter trip than heading out to Melbourne.

Rihanna said:πŸ€” general admission has been stuck at $50 for a few years now and hasn't really climbed higher than that; besides, when they say "general admission," they aren't talking about some random open field πŸ˜‚ but rather a specific section right by the trackβ€”basically in the hairpin turns and most spots just a few feet from the asphalt πŸ˜‰

I was checking the official sites, and it looks like tickets are $70 if you grab them before summer, but then they jump up to $90 right before the race starts.

As for that whole thing about standing in the grass, I figured that might be the case too... basically anything that isn't a grandstand where you can still get close to the action.
