I'd definitely say Franz Kafka's It's a Wonderful Life was 🀣
Honestly, I nearly lost it laughing when I heard him say that.

This year actually gave us two really solid picks:

House of Flying Daggers
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Right now, the only thing crossing my mind is Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

It’s not like House of Sand and Fog isn't actually decent πŸ™‚

Years ago, I was at the local Cinema when they were showing Godzilla vs. Megalon. There was this guy working for the theater chain, responsible for hand-lettering those big promotional posters that tell you which movie is playing in which auditorium... he almost messed up and wrote "Gorilla vs. Megalomaniac" instead. Honestly, that typo might be the greatest movie title ever conceived. 😁

There was also this really decent Canadian flick, I can't even be bothered to dig up the actual title right now:

How to make love to a Black man without getting worn out

I’m not sure if I can pick the absolute best movie title out there, but in my opinion, the greatest album title ever has to be: All who shall live will one day be Dead... πŸ™‚

I’ve always been a sucker for titles like "I Know What You Did Last Summer." There's just something about those punchy, evocative hooks that works for me. Does it matter if the title is lifted straight from a book, though? Like "The Silence of the Lambs"β€”is that considered cheating, or is it still cool?

songs from the second floor

It features some truly incredible lines:

Beloved be the unknown man and his wife.
My fellow man with sleeves, neck and eyes!

Beloved be the one who sleeps on his back.
The one who wears a torn shoe in the rain.

Beloved be the bald man without hat.
The one who catches a finger in a door.

Beloved be the one who sweats out of pain or out of shame.
The one who pays with what he does not have...

Beloved be the one who sits down.

And it just keeps going like that...

The movie itself is a masterpiece, so there you have it.

it’s just such a brilliant movie, honestly.

Slapstick Bergman, I think someone mentioned that once.
And they hit the nail right on the head.

I am not asking which movie you consider a masterpiece; I am specifically interested in the titles themselves.
Try to set aside whether the film is actually good and focus solely on the quality of the title.
😁

The first one that comes to mind for me is "When a Man Loves a Woman."
