There is absolutely no way. The folks over at Nomad would absolutely despise Vatra and Ramirez...😁

Oh, I don't know, maybe there is a difference, but honestly...🙂

At the end of the day, what matters is that you can finally buy something, kick back, listen to your music, and get lost in a book. It doesn't matter if the writing was absolute garbage or how much people hated it. It’s like asking if bad sex is better than no sex at all. Beš nomad — though honestly, right now, I'd be much happier just seeing a single number.

boldscout72 said:Moonlee Records is a great concept, but let’s be real: people start labels because they want to get their own music out there. Even if they had ambitions to sign other bands, they probably poured every cent of their life savings into their own releases.

So, Moonlee is going to release an album for an American band like Entreat... and sure, they could release stuff for American bands too, but the problem is those bands are broke. They play maybe six shows a year, usually in the same few cities around the US... assuming they don't break up before the record even hits the shelves...

Milo, forgive me, but I simply can't agree with that assessment. Analena is a fantastic band—their music is truly wonderful to me—but they are part of that specific emo subculture, and that scene is incredibly sprawling, especially once you get overseas, so it isn't surprising at all that they tour all over Europe. It's the same story with Lunar and Don't Mess with Texas. Not to go too far down that rabbit hole, but without a solid release or that kind of industry connection, it’s nearly impossible for an unknown band to book a decent gig abroad, or even back home here in the States... or even in Slo. Honestly, I've been trying to navigate this for months now and I always run into the same wall... and that's without anyone even bothering to listen to the music.

Honestly, being stuck here in the States, I’d love to get more plugged into the local alternative scene. I’ve already got a few things on my playlist, like Lavender Field, Peach, and Uzrujan..., but I’m definitely looking to expand my collection. Does anyone know a good soul out there who’s got a massive stash of MP3s they could share?

I know, and on top of that, they didn't even leave a link, so I ended up wasting my time hunting down the post myself. 😛

this Nicholas Perez33 concert is just the beginning.....

To be honest, the whole idea actually came from him, I was just laying out what you told me Kornel said to you.
Just so we're clear, I want my cut of the profits. 😁

That hated Kornel becoming some kind of street hero😁 is about as likely as anyone giving a damn about this thread or some "Nicholas Perez33" concert—especially now that everyone involved has gone rogue, getting sucked into this mess of foreign-backed and local hype machines😁
Jason Rogers! yeah, PES rocks😎 👍

Well, since that one meeting at the local Country Club is basically becoming a legend in the American indie scene, I’ve decided something. As someone who is deeply spiritual and completely unburdened by material wealth, I’m donating my entire share of the earnings to charity. But, I do want my name to stick. I want it spoken with dignity and respect during the annual meetings of the American indie assembly. 😁
And yeah, I also want a lifetime honorary seat on the committee that organizes the whole thing.😁

Good grief, why is everyone making such a fuss all of a sudden?
Do you honestly think if you get Cornell to listen, they’ll just grant you some sort of
right to participate?
Get lost, you ungrateful bunch! 😁
