So, I’m basically looking for some honest intel on the hygiene standards at local shops around here, and if anyone actually has some hands-on experience with tattoo studios, please, for the love of God, speak up... I really need the full scoop on everything.

I can only speak from my own experience with the tattoo shop where I actually got my ink done 🙂. Gandalf is top-tier, and honestly, I have nothing but glowing things to say. Their commitment to hygiene is unparalleled—you really can’t cut corners with them if you value safety 👍

How long does bio-tattooing actually last? And do people do them in actual Tattooed Los Angeles shops or more like at beauty salons...? Anyone have experience with this? I'm looking for those ones that only last a few weeks where they just apply color to the skin without using any needles...

I went to them for my very first tattoo... and that was it for me. Look, I have zero complaints about the actual art, but that sour-faced, grumpy guy? I never want to deal with that kind of attitude ever again in my life. ☕

Two and a half hours spent in an incredibly awkward and just plain stupid atmosphere..

I always had a blast with Robby and Senf, and they do killer work too 👍

Perhaps the man was simply having a bad day. As I mentioned previously, my experiences with Bunce and Stella were perfectly fine; the time passed quickly and nobody was acting sullen.🙂

Nope—I’ve spoken to at least ten different people over the years and they all have the exact same complaint. Granted, I don't know Stella... she wasn't even around back then. But when it comes to Bunce? It's a pattern. 🙂

Perhaps the issue lies with you. 😲 🙂 Personally, I found the atmosphere there quite pleasant.

I’ve actually sat in the chair for Robbia and Mustard twice now... both times Mustard was the one doing the "art"... honestly a great guy, and the shop is totally
clean.... I got my first tattoo four years ago, then my second one last year.. the first one was pretty small, cost me about $73 (just a little red rose on my back, didn't hurt at all, took maybe an hour)
the second one was way bigger, a tiger on my stomach, and let me tell you, it hurt like hell, lasted about 3 hours, and set me back $150

There's this body care place over at the Grove Hotel (Carpe Diem) - they do those temporary tattoos that last a couple of weeks (you know, not permanent, so if someone isn't 100% sure they want ink for life, they should probably go there)

Anyway, that's my two cents.. sorry about the typos - my keyboard is acting up and the letters are going haywire 😢((😲
