Has anyone here had the chance to listen to Nightwish lately?

I honestly don't get what your deal is.😳

The band isn't even called Nightwish, they're NIGHTFISH.

I mean, come on, you’re actually gonna sit there and listen to some vocalist belt out "OHHH HOWW i FISH...LOST in The dark"....

I’ve never been a hater... I just can't wrap my head around Nightwish or most of those American power metal bands. Nightwish is just too much power metal riffing for me, and a lot of other bands are just stuck in that same genre.

But still...

Anyway, getting back to the actual topic, I haven't delved too deep into Nightwish's discography, but what I have checked out is pretty much solid!

I've never really been a huge fan of Nightwish, but honestly, ali Nemo rules 😳

They're a pretty solid band. I wouldn't say I'm a die-hard fan or anything, but every once in a while, I feel the urge to catch one of their live shows—something like fra Wishes to Eternety... if I recall correctly 🙂

Beherit is the absolute standard, though I have to say I still hold Satanic Warmaster, Clandestine Blaze, and Impaled Nazarene in high regard because they just don't miss a beat😁

Ehm... as far as the nighttime scene goes, most of it feels pretty uninspired to me lately

I guess you can listen to Nightwish once or twice, but then you start realizing all their songs kind of sound the same—so they just don't really hit the same way anymore for me.

I just listened to it, and I honestly can't wrap my head around that opera vocal thing. Or whatever you want to call it. Everything else seems okay, I guess.

That's just Tarja 😁 I honestly find those kinds of female vocals hard to get into most of the time too, though I really dig them when they're used in Tristanija or Therion, and frankly, nothing else really compares.
But ali Nemo rules 🙂
