It seems my little 😍 gets fired up quite easily, though I can't say I'm responsible for that, can I? 😘
Regardless, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts 🙄

I wonder, what kind of music do you actually listen to?

Jonathan King said:So, what kind of music are you actually into?

I listen to pretty much anything that isn't fake Country Music. My range is fairly broad because I used to DJ at clubs back in the day, and even now, I occasionally step in to cover a set for a colleague...
I can usually find something good regardless of the genre...

Goth said:Oh, so you actually listen to them? 🙂 For me, nothing beats the god-tier doom stuff from Anathema and that first Paradise Lost album, "Lost Paradise."

Look, if we're talking Anathema, "A Natural Disaster" and "Eternity" are way better, and for P. Lost, "One Second" is the winner.👍

Edward Richardson36 said:I listen to everything as long as it isn't those fake Country Music acts. My musical range is pretty broad because I used to DJ in clubs back in the day, and even now, I still find myself stepping in for colleagues from time to time...
It seems there is always something worth discovering within different genres...

Even the people who swear by Country Music tend to have a diverse playlist too...

I've strictly focused on hardcore and punk and don't care for much else, whereas those folks stick to Country Music and they seem perfectly happy doing so...
Why are you being so hard on them? Is it really necessary to judge? Sure, maybe not everyone has a PhD, but honestly, what is the issue here?
Are we supposed to ban certain music now? I don't quite follow the logic... are we really suggesting that people listening to Country Music need to be reformed or something?

I've moved on to hardcore punk and nothing else matters to me. Those folks stick to Country Music and they seem happy enough...
Why are you so angry at them? Sure, maybe they didn't all graduate from Ivy League schools, but honestly...
What are you suggesting we do, ban it? I don't get it. Are we supposed to convert everyone listening to Country Music?

No, I'm not angry. It’s more that I just can't stand them, period. Education isn't the deciding factor here, though it definitely plays a role. You wouldn't expect an intelligent person to listen to that stuff. Usually, it’s just local small-town types—and by that, I don't mean someone living in the countryside, but rather those guys stuck in their ways, nursing a beer, completely out of touch with the world. It’s pure narrow-mindedness.
What bothers me most is how this Country Music craze is starting to grab kids as young as 14 or 15. It's unbelievable, but from what I've seen, there seems to be a correlation with lower intelligence levels.
And yeah, I believe it should be banned and sanctioned somehow. 🙄

Edward Richardson36 said:Look, I’m not angry—not even close—I just can't stand them, period. It isn't strictly about how much schooling someone has, though education definitely plays a huge role here. I mean, why would any rational person actually sit there and listen to that stuff? Usually, it's just some local hillbilly vibe—and when I say hillbilly, I don't mean someone from a rural area, I mean those local losers who are stuck in the past in every possible way. It's pure narrow-mindedness.
What really gets to me is that this Country Music mania has started grabbing hold of kids as young as 14 or 15—it's unbelievable. But from what I've seen, it seems to be a pattern among kids with lower IQs too.
And yeah, honestly, it should probably be banned or at least penalized somehow. 🙄

As if a smart person would ever bother opening a thread like this in the first place.😉

🤣 😂 What kind of idiot are you thinking these are truths? You're just being Dorothy, original style.😂

The funniest part is that you're actually the most narrow-minded one in this entire conversation.🙂

I can always dig up some gems, regardless of the genre...

Oh, sorry—just saw this. Honestly, you’re a textbook case of "Trash DJ Syndrome"—someone who gets off on playing garbage just to torture the general public. I guess that's how you end up being such a limited DJ in the first place.😬

👍 Finally, a defender of Country Music shows up. Honestly, it was getting a bit boring since everyone was acting like they don't listen to it just to stay hip. Congrats—it takes a certain amount of guts to just admit you were being foolish...

Man, this is easily the best thing I've read on here all day 👍 😬

btw
Everyone sees it clearly enough, yet nobody wants to own up to it:
Climate Racism and liberalism
The whole "side" and homosexuality movement
It’s all just byproducts of capitalism

And then there's Cataclysm Communism...

Look at the nonsense that "ex-DJ" keeps pushing. Unbelievable.

It looks like I've found two people on the same page. Gwen Stefani, just let me be already. You both have my blessing.😁>

The absolute nonsense that "ex-DJ" guy tries to pull. Unbelievable.

And honestly? I bet some Country Music track hit him right in the feels, and now he's just too stubborn to admit it. 😉

Led Zeppelin said:Why would I listen to rock or metal? You can't even put Country Music in the same conversation as rock.

You clearly haven't a clue. For me, Fire Kiss and Postman Law and Only are absolute classics 🙏 Not to mention the legends at Gal Halid Hall 🙏

To all you people hating on Country Music—my advice? Go grab a plate of decent BBQ, crack open a bottle of bourbon, and blast some Elvis Presley. 🙂 Then you'll see what a real party looks like. 😁

To everyone hating on country music—do yourself a favor. Grab some greasy burgers, crack open a bottle of bourbon, and blast some Tomo Zdravković. 🙂 It’s a total blast. 😁

I did exactly that yesterday at a BBQ in Austin. 🤣

Country music fans—or "rednecks" if we're being honest—are hands down the worst thing to ever happen to music. I genuinely can't wrap my head around how anyone listens to that stuff. 🙄
Purely primitive. 🙂 And then people have the nerve to call punks and metalheads the bad guys. 😲

That’s just pure primitivism right there.🙂 And then people have the nerve to claim punks and heavy metal fans are the bad ones.😲

Finally, someone making sense.🙏
