Alright, here's the build: Nvidia Geforce 8400 GS, Intel e2200 2.2, and 2GB of RAM. Basically, I can't run most modern games. Not even most. So, my question is: is there any way to squeeze out more performance? Anything at all? I just want to get something like Far Cry 3 or Assassin's Creed Brotherhood running without it being a total laggy mess. If overclocking is the answer—which I've heard about—how do I actually do it? And honestly, what are the odds I'll end up fried my GPU or CPU? Just give me smooth gameplay on Far Cry 3 and I'll be happy. Thanks for any help 😁

With that processor and that GPU, you’re essentially stuck. If you actually want to overclock anything, you’d need a high-end motherboard and a solid power supply, and even then, you're looking at maybe a 10-20% bump at best. For an E2200, that’s basically nothing—if you can even pull it off, since the E2200 isn't built for OC anyway.

Your graphics card is ancient and underpowered, and honestly, you're running way too little RAM. You aren't going to get anywhere decent without just buying a new rig...

If I recall correctly, that graphics card was already considered outdated more than five years ago, and even back then, it was really just a low-end option, so combined with RAM that’s pretty terrible by today's standards and a processor that's equally behind the times, it's just not going to cut it anymore.
