It’s just some random DVD—honestly, the movie on it looks pretty mediocre anyway...
That disc was originally featured on CNN, so they probably have a massive surplus of unsold copies lying around and are just giving them away now... regardless, there is absolutely no way I'm going out of my way for that.

Actually, that's incorrect; they *used* to be the same company, but back then Broadway sold off the auditorium to a new owner who runs things now. Since they're basically the second-largest cinema chain in America (not sure if any of the AMC Theatres locations are larger), they could really step up their marketing game—and maybe fire that colorblind designer responsible for that tacky, kitschy logo.

Still, they do have one of the best cinema websites in the US, plus they offer online ticket booking just like AMC Theatres...

So, I picked up this DVD and gave it to a friend—it’s "Chicago," so honestly, I couldn't care less about the movie itself. But man, what a total disaster. We get there, I buy my ticket, and then I ask what kind of special perks they have for couples, only for the woman behind the counter to shove the DVD in my face. Absolutely ridiculous. 😁

What’s all the drama about?
It’s honestly ridiculous for a nation that’s willing to stand in line for six hours just for a bowl of chili. I’m not even a fan of the stuff, but I’m not passing up a chance to grab a DVD... you play the "I'm here with my girlfriend" card and boom, you get the disc. It's way easier to explain to her dad that you're actually on a date rather than just talking to some cashier who couldn't care less about you. I'll go get that DVD even if it means getting stuck in a mess in Chicago.

But honestly, it’s just not quite hitting the mark... if you’re going to film a doc about a relationship involving someone of the same gender, there really ought to be a significant age gap involved—say, at least thirty years—just so we can capture the sheer look of shock on the cashier's face when they see them walking up to the register 😲

I'll admit it, I’d probably feel like a total loser owning an original DVD. It'd be one of those rare pieces in my collection. Hell, I'm broke. Most of my discs are just straight-up bootlegs from a street vendor.

Thank God there are still some moralizing posers around here who wouldn't know a real classic if it hit them in the face—people who own actual originals and Pikachu, yet act like they'd never touch a damn movie.
