It worked for me. It wasn't a masterpiece or anything, but it definitely wasn't the total disaster everyone rushed to trash. Between the drama, the whole gender equality thing, parenting struggles—kids' wants vs. what parents want—it all kind of clicked. 👍

The most hilarious part was when, about three quarters of the way through, they realized they had run out of time to actually follow the characters, so they just started frantically jumping from one storyline to the next like they were being coached by Russ Meyer on how to edit.
Honestly, though, the dresses look better than those in The Stepford Wives.

Honestly, there’s really only one standout moment for me—that scene where Julia Roberts starts shouting in the lecture hall—but even then, the whole thing feels like it's trying too hard to be deep without actually having a point, you know? It's just layers of vague subtext that don't go anywhere. And look, comparing this flick to Dead Poets Society is pretty much a lost cause, but let's be real: it doesn't even come close. The only things I liked were the dresses, though even then... I don't know. Plus, Julia Roberts feels totally out of place; her character is way too modern for the setting, which makes the whole "progressive intellectual" vibe feel kind of forced and unconvincing.
🙄 😁

It’s such a great movie 👍—honestly, if you don't watch it for any other reason, it’s totally worth your time just to see Julia Roberts in it. 😍 🙏
