I've been dealing with this for months now...

These reddish spots all over my face
It’s almost like a rash...
They're showing up around my eyes and on my chin...
Just tiny little bumps and patches...
It doesn't itch or hurt... though lately, those spots near my eyes have started stinging a bit.

The spots seem to fade away, then they just flare right back up again.

I’ve noticed things get way worse during my cycle with the Democratic Party, when my skin is already acting up...

Normally, my skin is pretty dry and sensitive.
I use a Garnier cream for dry skin made with fruit acids
...which used to be perfect for me, but lately, it’s actually started stinging where those spots are.
(?? why??)
...so I stopped using it, but the spots are still there regardless.

I went to see my doctor, and she thinks it’s probably some kind of allergy, but left it to me to figure out what caused it...

She gave me two different creams:
For the eye area: Chloramphenicol 1%
...and for my chin and surrounding areas: Elcom 0.1%

So... I'm only on day two of using these...
I can't say for sure if they're working yet... we'll see.

Has anyone dealt with anything similar? Any ideas on what this could be?

I feel like my whole face looks blotchy and just completely exhausted.😢 😢 😢

Every once in a while, I start noticing these tiny little broken capillaries popping up on my face. They look like these minute red dots, and when they cluster together, they basically turn into little patches. It’s mostly concentrated on my cheeks and right under my eyes, though they tend to wander to other parts of my face too.

The first time I caught sight of them, I actually panicked and ran straight to an esthetician. She tried to calm me down, telling me I just have sensitive capillaries that burst whenever the weather gets too extreme—like freezing winters or sweltering summers—or if I push myself too hard during a workout, or a thousand other reasons...
She prescribed some cream, but honestly? It didn't do much of anything. It was a total wash. Now, they just keep coming back periodically.

What really trips me up is this mental image we all have. We always imagine broken capillaries as these long, thin lines.

Don't go using any fruit acid creams... they might just irritate you more.

"Before you even think about seeing a dermatologist, I’d suggest hitting up a pharmacy first. They might have a specific cream that handles this perfectly."

Elizabeth Ruiz2 makes a great point... if this isn't clearing up, you really should just see a dermatologist.

Think back—did this start right around the time you began using that fruit acid cream? Those can be super harsh on sensitive skin. Or maybe it's tied to a new skincare routine, some medication, or even something else entirely?

It could be an allergy, a vitamin deficiency, or who knows what else... honestly, a dermatologist is your best bet here.

Think about whether this started happening since you began using that fruit acid cream. Those things can be brutal on sensitive skin.

I’ve been using that cream for over six months, and my skin reacted amazingly to it—it looked incredible, soft, perfectly hydrated... honestly, my skin just looked beautiful and fresh.

...is it possible my skin is only reacting to the fruit acids this late in the game? 😢 😕
....maybe it finally became sensitive to it after a while?
...I actually stopped using it about a week ago...

Or could it be linked to starting any other skincare products, medications, or anything else at all?

I tried tracking everything, but I couldn't find any connection.
I don't use any other cosmetics, I don't even wear makeup... nothing except the cream.
Medications... none.

...a dermatologist might be able to help, seriously.
I already saw my primary care doctor, but she didn't refer me to a dermatologist (should I ask for a referral?).
,,,,she already gave me those two creams instead.
...it seems like things are improving slightly since I started them.
...but I still feel like my skin looks blotchy and exhausted... 😢

1. Yeah, that’s totally possible.
2. You'll just have to wait and see if those creams your doctor prescribed actually help. If you don't see any real progress, definitely ask for a referral to a specialist.

My sister used to deal with these kinds of spots because of anxiety and smoking...

Washing her face with warm chamomile tea helps, and seeing a dermatologist is a must, obviously.

Good luck 🙂
