Honestly, who actually has the time for that? In the time it took to air that, I managed to listen to all nine symphonies, read through every one of Kant's "Critiques..." and even learned how to play the saxophone. And I don't regret a second of it.

Look, I really can't stand it when people trash something just because it has commercial appeal. It doesn't matter if we're talking about books, music, or anything else. If you actually sit down and watch it, then go ahead and say it sucks—fair enough. But this attitude of "I'm so much cooler than everyone else because I refuse to watch what's popular, and I ALREADY KNOW it's trash" is just👎 🙂

I don't watch Universal Music Group because I don't even have FOX (thankfully 🙂 ), so I have absolutely no clue what Eminem looks like or how he sounds, but I fail to see the issue when someone simply wants to make a living. Is it somehow a sin to want to break through and earn some money?

I’m not getting into whether the music is any good; that isn't even the point here.
If there is a market for something, it makes money—so where is the problem?

The idea that all "real" musicians work for peanuts and couldn't care less about money because they exist solely for the sake of art...😕
