Jim Morrison is a straight-up legend... such a shame he left us back in '74. There's this guy now, pretty old school, who swears he was at a Doors concert in '73. I actually believe him—he even still has the shirt he wore that night from decades ago. He's getting up there in age, but man, Jim Morrison was an untouchable rock icon. That was real music. Just imagine if you could've actually been at a Doors show

I would give just about anything if I could have been there to witness his concert firsthand 😢

I’d give anything to have been there... I've watched their movie at least four times now... it gets me every single time... I know it's pointless, but I just find myself hoping he's out there somewhere, maybe in Africa, just living... it's always been a dream of mine to visit his grave in Paris... if only...🙂

When you're dealing with an O. Stone film, just keep in mind that facts aren't really his priority.

FACTUAL... I can think of a perfectly obvious example where Jim met Patricia—that journalist who was basically a witch—back in 1969, yet Stone filmed a scene showing her at a concert in New Haven that actually took place in 1967, just a day after his birthday. I even recall the title card reading 1968 right under New Haven... he pretty much scrambled the entire timeline...😲

happy birthday Jim 😁

uuu, happy birthday to him 😍
honestly, I absolutely adore him. the man had a genius mind. you could spend a lifetime debating his ideas and still never scratch the surface.
I actually just picked up a collection of his lost writings recently. honestly, it was perfection 😉

Does anyone have footage, or maybe some vintage tour shirt I could track down?
- Please describe what the experience was like for you. 😉😉

Heh, I’m fully equipped, seeing as my The Doors fever has been raging for nineteen years now; though I won't be parting with my shirts, as they've basically become my summer pajamas... 😉and I'm certainly not young enough to be strutting around town in them. I noticed you're from Miami, so if you want to hunt for gear, head over to a local record shop—they usually carry their merch, biographies, and DVDs, though honestly, you can find all the original material on YouTube without any hassle...
As for my take on them, Jim was undeniably a legend; he wasn't just handsome and charismatic, but possessed a genuine intellect... 😁
I've always appreciated The Doors' shows for their simplicity, lacking all those flashy light shows and gimmicks—though Jim might have occasionally reached for a simple lighter... it was really just standard arenas filled with thousands of people, combined with Jim's raw energy and the incredible musicianship of the other three.

Sarah White85. He was truly one of the greatest icons out there—one of those poets who just happened to embody the whole spirit of rock n roll. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Jim Morrison is the absolute GOAT... I would honestly give anything just to have been there, living that dream at one of his shows... 🙂
