Charles Bronson was a B-movie actor. End of story. Personally, I loved him specifically because he wasn't perfect...
But he definitely had some gems...
In my book, his best work includes "Once Upon a Time in the West," but also "The Great Escape," "The Magnificent Seven," "White Buffalo," and "Vera Cruz."

He lived to be 81.

Man, I had no clue he passed away. He was truly one of a kind, the sort of legend you just don't see twice in this life 😢

He might have been considered a B-list actor by some, but he delivered an absolute masterclass in my favorite film, Once Upon a Time in the Wild West. I have to admit, hearing this news actually gave me a bit of a jolt.

Charles, you were truly something special.

You know, looking back on it, you might be onto something there. But you just don't see actors with that kind of B-movie grit anymore. Man... between the whole Death Wish series and Telephone... the guy was a total legend. I have to admit, I felt a real sense of loss when I heard the news.

Death Wish is ruthless. Every single time he took down some street thug, it felt like pure adrenaline. The man was a total legend. And that guy with the harmonica in Once Upon a Time in the West? Now that was a freaking icon. I'm telling you.😢

There is simply no debating that he was a phenomenal actor; on a personal level, I held him in extremely high regard, and I am truly heartbroken that we have lost him altogether.😢

He basically paved the way for an entire generation of young actors, guys like Steven Seagal, Dolph Lundgren, Michael Dudkoff, and even Chuck Norris...

But there’s only ever going to be one Bronson! 😢

So, I woke up at 7 this morning to some news on the radio, and given how freezing it was outside, that report was enough to keep me pinned to my bed for another half hour.

Timothy Cox2> Charles Bronson was a B-movie actor. End of story. Personally, I loved him specifically because he wasn't perfect....

Bryan Barrett> He inspired an entire generation of young actors like Steven Seagal, Dolph Lundgren, Michael Dudkoff, Chuck Norris...

Exactly... just by showing up on screen, he gave those B-movies that specific edge that kept them from ever feeling boring or lame. Because of him, B-movies basically became B+ movies.

Though, if you ask me, most of those guys mentioned above—maybe even all of them—don't even come close to his level. He had this certain coldness about him, whether he was just walking down the street with a cigarette or taking out some lowlife in a back alley.

I see someone brought up "telephone"... oh man, I watched that movie a few times when I was a kid (his stuff used to be everywhere back then) and I’d completely forgotten about it. But now, I remember it like I saw it yesterday.

Yeah, yeah.... Bronson was the real deal. 👍

It is truly fascinating how a single B-movie icon can influence an entire era of B-movie actors 😉 though I have to agree, there is only one Bronson.

I still recall being about four or five years old and absolutely smashing my first guitar because I was hiding behind the couch, using it like a rifle, completely inspired by The Magnificent Seven. I can still vividly remember the lecture—and the subsequent scolding—I received from my mother for that one... ouch...

He slipped away quietly and cemented his place in the legends. He was one of those rare actors whose movies you could just sit back and truly enjoy without any effort. I’m really sorry to hear this. May he rest in peace.

Timothy Cox2, man, you really need to fix that image link. I couldn't make heads or tails of it. I honestly thought it was supposed to be your signature or something.
