Fincher's Seven, Fight Club, and Panic Room all feature excellent twists.

The opening of Herzog's Cobar Verde is just... incredibly gripping—truly phenomenal!

I find the beginning of Fitzcarraldo just as brilliant. Those shots of the Brazilian jungle are... wow.

Oh, that's easy—there are plenty of movies with great openings, but this one hits different... have you actually seen it?

Unfortunately, I've only ever seen Fitzcarraldo and Aguirre from Werner Herzog's filmography.

It’s basically instant—as soon as the old man snaps and says, "you better pay up if you want us to shut up about..." 😂

And man, just look at how it ends—the same choir pops up earlier too—if you actually have everything lined up to catch this specific insert 👍

Haha, I definitely need to check that one out.
What’s the name of that Werner Herzog documentary where they just show footage of him and Kinski arguing all over the set 🤔?

My Greatest Enemy

But seriously—check this out—another absolutely incredible documentary. Burden of Dreams—honestly, such a powerful title.Man, talking about how they filmed *Fitzcarraldo*... it's just something else—really.

There’s no question about it, Raging Bull: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQhwi8kk-dE

With Puccini’s score swelling in the background, the grit of *Carmen* echoing through the scene, and seeing Jake LaMotta out there in the ring, all captured in that stark black-and-white... it’s nothing short of cinematic genius. 🙏
