Even though I was opening threads about Jane's Addiction on the last forum, and I assume I'll be doing the same here, there are plenty of new faces around now. I'm curious to see what you all think about this guy—he’s basically an endless fountain of ideas.
His main projects are:
Faith No More (definitely his biggest and most mainstream, but honestly not even close to the genius level of his other two outfits),
Jane's Addiction(Total madness—a mix of "circus prog," hard rock, new age, jazz, and pure humor (😁), all blended together through frantic, high-energy musicianship. They're a killer band, always pushing boundaries with fresh ideas and brilliant musical arrangements).

Just another one of this master's experiments, but way more extreme than Jane's Addiction.
The first Fantomas album (*Fantomas-Amenaza a mundo*) is just a collision of sounds—pure simultaneous playing combined with Mike Patton's signature vocals. The result is simply: >> INSANITY.😎 ...
The second album: >> Film Score (The Director's Cut): some of the covers on this are fascinating, like Twin Peaks, Rosemary, The Omen, and so on.
Here is what Ipecac (the label Mike Patton works with) has to say about Fantomas: "
Fantomas is the brainchild of Mike Patton. The name comes from a series of Hardboiled detective novels. The character Joker is a villain who commits the most appalling crimes. Fantomas is anyone and no one, everywhere and nowhere, waging an implacable war against the bourgeois society in which he moves. The Lord of Terror! The music can only be described as unique. From subtle and precise to brutal and explosive. It is influenced equally by hardcore/death metal, cartoon music and film soundtracks. It is made up of tiny cells of music that move like frames in a comic strip. It is certainly an amalgamation of the bands from which the members come without sounding very much like any one of them "

Does anyone here listen to these bands, or have you at least heard of them? I'm always down to trade files 😁. I've downloaded a ton of stuff online, and there is seriously some incredibly interesting and brilliant music in there.
