So I open up this thread about remakes and started thinking... does anyone actually *want* a remake after the absolute dumpster fire that is Hollywood right now? When I saw some of these headlines, I was honestly kind of hyped. There are just a few titles out there that are practically begging for a reboot. Especially Quote : Logan's Run because they could finally use today's tech to make them even more mind-blowing than they already were.

oh, look at you leveling up, guess I don't have to 👍

I'd much rather have a movie, even if it's part of a franchise.

Quote : Logan's Run

cool, so there's actually some movement on that front ☕

Let's start by remaking Hellraiser and He-Man

Spawn is basically an R-rated fever dream that could have actually worked if Deadpool had paved the way for its success, because while the comic book foundation is absolutely phenomenal, the movie itself was just a total disaster...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but with some other actress playing the role instead of April, someone who actually helps the turtles out rather than being the lead.
It should feel like those old-school 80s series—fun, kid-friendly, but still high enough quality for adults, or at least for "damaged manchild fanboys" like me. 😁
The absolute dealbreaker, though? Michael Bay can't be within 100 miles of this movie. Not even close. ☕

Maybe we just need a new Dune release, just so people finally stop talking trash about Lynch. Personally, I think his movie is a million times better than that Chilean guy's megalomania.

Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze (1975)

Honestly, the movie was total garbage.

I kind of remember the comic books through this hazy, half-forgotten fog, and they were actually pretty cool—
just some wild adventure-detective nonsense.

The movie was fine, but I’d prefer a remake. The concept still feels fresh and original.

I'm on board with Hellraiser, but let’s be real—I won't live to see a legitimate remake with an NC-17 rating. They'll just water everything down with R ratings or worse. Why even bother if they're going to strip the soul out of it?

The timing was just totally off. Honestly, if they made something like this today—done right, obviously—it would absolutely crush it.

Honestly, I think that’s the biggest sin in the whole movie industry. They really ought to just ban making remakes altogether... 👎

So, you're basically against the heavy hitters, right? Like, you're pushing back against classics like Scarface from '83, The Thing from '82, or even Ben Hur from '59, and so on...

The Friends series could actually work quite well if they did a remake. As for a movie, I think the fugitive starring Harrison Ford would be interesting.

Even the fugitive is just a remake of some series from the 60s. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056757/
Maybe we should wait another ten years before they bother making another one every thirty...

Let’s wait another decade before they decide to churn out one every thirty years.

Interesting. I wasn't aware of that. However, I highly doubt they can replicate the success of that massive 90s hit movie.

silentpilot6 said:Hmm, yeah... I’d personally go ahead and remake Ben Hur😁

They basically gave him exactly what he wanted back when remakes weren't just a mindless industry standard.👍

One movie I caught recently was such a perfect look at how Tarantino does things.
