I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the sheer scale of legal battles involving high-profile figures. It seems like every other week, there’s a new headline about someone taking on massive media conglomerates or huge institutions.

On one hand, I totally get the impulse. If you feel like your privacy has been violated or you've been unfairly targeted, you want to fight back. It’s about accountability, right? But then I look at the sheer amounts of money being poured into these court battles—millions upon millions—and I have to wonder if the "win" is actually worth the drain on resources.

It feels like a bit of a double-edged sword. You're fighting for a principle, but you're also essentially entering a war of attrition where the person with the deepest pockets usually dictates the pace. Sometimes it feels less like a quest for truth and more like a high-stakes game of who can outlast the other in a courtroom.

Do you think these massive legal showdowns actually change anything for the better, or are they mostly just expensive ways to vent frustration?
