I was looking through some upcoming scheduling news recently, and it honestly feels like we’re heading toward a point of total saturation. Don't get me wrong, I love the sport and I live for the big fight nights, but the sheer volume of events being lined up so far in advance is starting to give me whiplash.
It feels like every other weekend is going to be "must-watch" something. My concern isn't even about the fights themselves, but the fatigue. I find that when there's a constant stream of matchups, the hype for the massive, career-defining bouts starts to bleed together with the mid-tier cards. It’s getting harder to actually clear my schedule and focus on a single event when it feels like the calendar is just a wall of logos and fight cards.
I also worry about the athletes. If they keep pushing the schedule this hard, are we going to see a massive spike in injuries or just fighters being rushed into matchups they aren't ready for just to fill a slot?
Do you guys think the constant stream of events keeps the sport alive, or is it actually hurting the prestige of the big matchups?
