I honestly can't stand seeing these massive global organizations treat the things we actually love like nothing more than a line item on a spreadsheet. It feels like every time a major tournament comes around, it’s less about the spirit of the game and more about which billionaire is grabbing a piece of the pie this time. Is there any part of professional sports left that isn't purely driven by high-stakes investment?
