I was watching the highlights from the tournament this weekend, and I found myself getting more choked up than the actual winner. It’s a strange feeling, isn't it? You’re sitting on your couch, probably wearing pajamas, and suddenly you're feeling this intense, visceral connection to a person you've never met, watching them achieve something they've worked decades for.

I get this all the time with sports, especially when there's a national connection involved. It feels like a win for the whole community, not just the individual. It’s like that collective pride where you feel like you were right there on the green or in the stands with them.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm being too "extra" with my emotional reactions, but honestly, I think it's one of the best parts of being a fan. It makes the world feel a little smaller and more connected.

Does anyone else get genuinely emotional watching athletes succeed, or am I just being overly dramatic?
