Is it just me, or is the "almost" transfer more frustrating than a complete non-starter?

Whenever I see those headlines about a deal supposedly being done, only for it to fall apart at the eleventh hour over some technicality, I just want to throw my remote at the TV. You spend a week imagining how a player fits into the system, checking out their stats, and visualizing the starting lineup, and then—boom. Nothing. It feels like a massive waste of everyone's emotional energy.

I remember back when my club was supposedly "closing in" on that striker from the Bundesliga. We were all celebrating in the group chats, thinking the drought was finally over. Then we found out it was just a disagreement over a personal clause or something equally mundane. The letdown is brutal.

It makes me wonder if these high-profile collapses are actually becoming more common as the money gets bigger. Is it just better negotiation, or are clubs getting more cautious about overextending themselves?

Do you guys think these last-minute collapses are actually a sign of smart management, or just pure chaos?
