I swear, every single year it feels like the same loop. As soon as the off-season winds down, the "experts" and the betting gurus start throwing out these massive projections for years down the road. They act like they can see the future, predicting exactly how many games a team will win three seasons from now, as if rosters and coaching staffs aren't going to change a dozen times by then.
It’s getting hard to take these long-term predictions seriously. I remember back in my college days, I’d get swept up in the hype of a "superteam" and lose a decent chunk of my budget because I thought their win total was a lock. Fast forward a year, and a single injury or a bad trade completely nuked the whole outlook. It feels less like actual analysis and more like people just trying to manufacture engagement by being contrarian.
I usually find way more value in looking at the immediate volatility of a roster rather than these long-range guesses. Do you guys actually look at these multi-year projections, or do you just wait until the actual season starts to put any real money down?
