Is it just me, or does the start of training camp always feel a little bit surreal? There's something about that specific time of year when the heat is unbearable, the schedules are packed, and everyone is pretending that the outcome of a single practice session actually matters for the long haul.
I remember back in my college days, the first week of camp was always a mix of pure adrenaline and total exhaustion. You're so focused on just surviving the drills and making a good impression that you forget the actual season is still months away. It’s a weird psychological limbo where you’re simultaneously optimistic about the talent coming in and terrified that everyone is going to be too gassed to perform by week four.
Do you guys find the preseason hype actually helps the energy, or does it just make the inevitable injuries and fatigue feel more frustrating?
