I’ve been thinking a lot about how much more granular everything is becoming in the marketing world. It feels like every single day there’s a new way to track a consumer's every move, and the pressure for companies to see immediate results is just getting insane.
I remember working a stint in retail a few years back, and the management was constantly breathing down our necks about specific hourly metrics. It felt like we weren't even focused on the customer anymore, just the numbers on the dashboard. Now, with all this tech being developed to bridge the gap between seeing a screen and actually making a purchase, I wonder if we're just creating a loop of constant, frantic adjustments.
Does anyone else feel like this obsession with instant feedback is actually hurting long-term brand loyalty? Are we just chasing micro-trends instead of building something that lasts?
