Those aren't even the same graphics chips, and the processors aren't even in the same league. That's like saying a go-kart is better than a Formula 1 car just because it's newer and more fuel-efficient.

I've personally owned a Core i3 530 and a Core i7 760, and now I'm running a G1610... honestly, I don't see much of a difference when I'm gaming. Most of these newer chips either stutter like crazy or they can only push frames if you crank everything down to the absolute minimum settings. If someone actually needs decent graphics, they should just buy a real GPU. Spending an extra $1,000 or $500 more on a CPU just to get slightly better integrated graphics is totally insane... especially when you're only saving a tiny bit of cash. If this guy manages to squeeze out even 5 extra FPS for that little extra money by choosing the Pentium, you can cut me anywhere you want... but he's only got $667 to work with, so clearly he's trying to be careful with his budget...

Vatafak, is that you talking? Who in their right mind would pay $500 more? You guys built two rigs at the exact same price point, but his build gives him a significantly faster processor in both multi-threaded and single-threaded tasks, better graphics, and higher overall speed—plus he gets an SSD. If he runs out of space on the SSD, he can just use an HDD and call it a day; it's the same total cost. You're talking nonsense.

I guess this benchmark comparison from AnandTech is worth a look if you're curious about how these chips stack up. It seems like there's some interesting data here, though I might be overthinking it.

Looking at one of the dozens of benchmarks out there, the N3150 seems to be just a tiny bit weaker than the J1900. I guess.

EDIT:

Core i7 760 or Core i7 860? Just a heads up, neither one has integrated graphics. ☕

Clearly we aren't on the same wavelength if you can't tell the difference between a Core i7 760 and a G1610... It's obvious they just surf the web, watch YT, and hang out on forums or Facebook without ever touching a game from this century...

In that specific case, I guess you might not notice a gap...

But if you actually ran any application that does real work, you'd have to be blind not to notice the difference...

Look, at the end of the day, if someone wants to buy whatever they want, let them. I honestly don't have the energy to keep arguing about this...
