I was looking through some old project budget spreadsheets last night and realized how much the math has changed lately. It used to be that if you were setting up a workshop or grabbing heavy-duty supplies, you could hunt down a solid discount or find a seasonal sale that actually made a dent in the total. Now, it feels like those deep percentage-off windows are getting smaller and harder to find, or they're just applied to stuff nobody actually needs.

It’s frustrating when you’re trying to be smart with your overhead. I feel like I spend more time scrolling through endless coupon sites and expired promo codes than actually doing the work. It’s almost become a part-time job just trying to avoid paying the full "sticker price" for industrial-grade stuff. I miss the days when a good deal felt like a genuine win rather than a desperate hunt for a single-use code that might not even work at checkout.

Do you guys still find any reliable ways to shave a decent chunk off your tool and supply costs, or is it basically just "pay full price or don't buy it" these days?
