I was thinking about this today while watching some old highlights. It seems like every time a familiar face leaves a broadcast booth or a coaching staff, the narrative is always about "prioritizing family" or "slowing down the pace."

Don't get me wrong, I completely get it. I have friends in the industry who are absolutely burnt out by the constant travel and the weird, irregular hours that come with following a season. It's a grueling lifestyle that most people don't realize. But it also makes me wonder if we're reaching a point where the talent is just moving away from regional roles because the math doesn't add up anymore—either mentally or financially.

It feels like there's a growing gap between the "local hero" roles that keep fans connected and the massive national contracts that offer more stability. I miss having certain personalities on my local feeds, but I also can't blame anyone for wanting to get back to their home base and actually see their kids grow up.

Do you think we're going to see more veteran voices ditching regional coverage for national gigs or retirement lately, or am I just being cynical?
