Is it just me, or does it feel like once a pro athlete gets hit with one setback, the universe just decides to go all in? It’s like there’s this invisible magnet for misfortune. You see a player struggling to find their rhythm on the field, and then suddenly they’re dealing with some bizarre, freak accident in their personal time that has nothing to do with the game.
It’s honestly frustrating to watch from the sidelines. You want to see these guys perform at their peak, but instead, you're just watching a cycle of rehab, recovery, and more setbacks. It makes you wonder how much of "success" is actually skill versus just being able to stay upright and uninjured for a full season.
Does anyone else think the mental toll of these constant, unexpected hiccups is actually worse than the physical injuries themselves?
