I was watching some highlights from last year's camp, and it really hit me how much of a gamble this whole process is. We spend all summer hyping up these young guys, talking about their potential and how they're going to "change the franchise," but the physical toll is just insane.
It feels like every year, one or two players who were supposed to be the next big thing end up in rehab before the first preseason game even kicks off. You see these kids come in with so much momentum, and then one bad landing or one awkward step, and suddenly their entire career trajectory shifts. It's a tough pill to swallow when you realize how quickly a dream can hit a wall.
It makes me wonder if we put too much pressure on these rookies to perform at 100% immediately, knowing how fragile the human body actually is. Do you think teams are doing enough to manage the workload during camp, or is this just an inevitable part of the game?
