I was reading some threads earlier about how much harder it’s becoming to track where certain hardware is actually coming from. It feels like every time something goes sideways lately, the first thing investigators say is that they have no idea how the equipment even got into the area or who built it.

It’s honestly getting a little scary. I remember when you could at least rely on the idea that there was a paper trail for everything. Now, it feels like there's this whole shadow market for things that are basically untraceable by design. It's not even just about the legality of it anymore; it's the sheer ease of getting stuff that leaves absolutely no footprint.

How are we supposed to deal with the fallout when the tools being used are specifically engineered to stay invisible to the system? Does anyone else feel like the "paper trail" concept is becoming a total myth?
