I was thinking about how much the way we consume movies has shifted lately. It feels like the "event" aspect of going to a theater is being replaced by these weird, niche hybrid releases.

I saw a mention of a new project recently that's doing this thing where they do a single-night roadshow with live elements, almost like a concert experience, before it just drops everywhere online. It’s an interesting pivot. Part of me thinks it’s a brilliant way to build hype and make a small film feel "big" without needing a massive studio budget, but another part of me misses the days when a movie meant a trip to the cinema and nothing else.

Is anyone else feeling like the traditional movie-going experience is becoming a luxury or a niche hobby rather than the standard? Do you prefer these specialized, experimental ways of seeing new stuff, or do you just want a movie to be a movie?
