Dell XPS 15 won't turn on

Hi there.
When I plug this laptop into the power adapter, the red light comes on. When I hit the power button, the machine tries to kick over—if it even starts at all—but then the light just flashes and turns orange, and everything goes dead.
Any idea what might be causing this?

First, pull the battery out, unplug the power cord, and hold down the power button for about 30 seconds. That should force a hard reset on the system. Once you've done that, pop the battery back in, plug it back into the wall, and try turning it on... Let me know what happens. If it’s still acting up, check if there's an error message on the screen and count how many times the indicator light flashes and what color it is.
