Primary care doctors in Washington, D.C.

Hey everyone, I could really use some help here, it's kind of urgent.
I'm looking for a recommendation for a decent GP. Ideally somewhere near the Bronx or the surrounding areas, but I'm not super picky—I could even do someone Downtown. See, my old doctor just retired, and my mom moved both me and my dad over to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Then this morning, I stumbled upon this article that makes it sound like we're basically left without a doctor now...

I'll need a medical leave note soon for physical therapy, not to mention I need one for all sorts of other things too.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations or recent experiences with doctors who are actually taking on new patients...

As for a recommendation, try Dr. Dubravka Bokarica (Queens - Superman)

ordinacijadr.koco@gmail.com is taking patients over in the Folnegović area. Doctor is awesome—handles a ton of stuff via email which is huge—plus the clinic has an EKG and physical therapy right there

One of my friends mentioned that she had a great experience at the Tiljak clinic in Queens.
Another friend told me how much they helped her kids; they’ve been dealing with some pretty complicated health issues lately, which can be quite stressful, but she said the care they provided was truly exceptional.

Oh, one more thing. Ever since they restructured the New York City Health + Hospitals system (they merged the local branch with the smaller Downtown clinic, leaving New York General Hospital as the only one without its own dedicated facility in that district), certain clinics no longer fall under the Queens laboratory network. This means instead of going to Queens, we have to go all the way to Runjanin for blood work. 🤦
(Instead of finally building that second lab in the Bronx like they promised years ago, they’re just pushing us out to Runjanin.)
