Banned from the whole forum based on just 2 soccer posts

Quick question for you guys...

So, I just got slapped with a 30-day ban from the moderator zoom-zoom across every single subforum on this site. Apparently, my two posts over in the football section didn't align with his specific "worldview."

I’m wondering—does he actually have the authority to shut me down in sections completely unrelated to his jurisdiction just because he can't handle my take on the haters targeting our national team?

If he's going to get sensitive about how I talk, can I go ahead and demand the exact same penalties for the crowd on the other side of the aisle?

They’ve got a point there. If you run into posts that you think are breaking the rules, just hit that little triangle icon on the thread itself to report them—don't bring it here, because this isn't really the place for that kind of thing.

I don't really care much about this stuff—honestly, I probably only write something once every couple of months anyway—but I would love to see some actual reasoning on what makes my two posts any different from the posts of the members I clicked on.
Aside from our worldviews, the discourse is pretty much identical.
