So, I’ve got this HP Envy 5000, and a few days back, the black ink started coming out super faded—though the colors were still looking fine. I figured I'd just swap out the black cartridge for a refilled one, but as soon as I did that, the whole thing just quit on me. Now it won't print anything at all, not even color.
I tried putting the old cartridge back in, hoping to at least get back to where I was, but nope—still nothing. Total silence from the machine, even though the colors were working perfectly before the headache started.
Honestly, I'm losing my mind here. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it back to its previous state, when at least the color was decent and only the black was acting up.
I'm attaching some screenshots of the error messages popping up on my screen.

A buddy of mine uses the exact same HP Envy 5000 and he’s been swapping in third-party ink for ages without a single hiccup.
I stumbled upon some info over here, though I'm honestly not sure if it'll actually do me any good.

Managed to pull myself out of the woods there—thankfully didn't end up hauling it all the way to a repair shop. It's actually working again.
Basically, I held down the reset button for about five seconds, fired up the HP Service Tool, and just like that, we were back in business.
