Since the strawberries didn't quite pan out this time, let's pivot to a slightly different subject matter.

Our topic today focuses on sister duos—specifically, musical acts where the performers are actually sisters, whether they are both playing instruments or sharing vocal duties.

01. Larkin Poe (Rebecca and Megan Lowell) - hard time Killing floor blues 02.
02. The Kossoy Sisters (Irena Saletan and Ellen Christenson) - I'll Fly Away 03.

Topic: Looking for studio albums released on Vinyl Record where at least half of the tracks were also released as singles (like 7", 12", or both). So, if an album on Vinyl Record has 8 songs, then 4 or more need to have been issued as singles in any market, following that logic.
Pick any track from the album as an example, but please make sure to name the studio album and list the singles.
Compilations are obviously out.
Live albums are also excluded, though it’s probably pretty tough to find an example here where half the songs were released as singles in live versions.
Only albums released up until 1999 count.

Let's talk about studio albums that were essentially collections of singles. I'm looking for LPs where at least half the tracklist had already been released as standalone singles—think 7" or 12" formats—on any market. So, if we're looking at an 8-track Vinyl Record, I want to see four or more tracks that hit the shelves as singles first. What have you guys got?
Pick any track from the album for the illustration—as long as you mention which studio album it belongs to and list the singles.
Compilations are off the table, obviously.
Live albums are another category entirely, though finding an example where half the tracklist consists of live versions of previously released singles is probably a needle in a haystack around here.
We're only counting albums released before 1999.

Iggy Pop - Hide Away (Vinyl Record - Blah Blah Blah - 1986 - singles Cry for Love, Wild One, Fire Girl, Isolation, Shades)

Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love Vinyl Record The Game - 1980 - singles: Save Me, Play The Gama, Another One Bites the Dust, Genesis - Tonight

Genesis - Tonight Tonight, Tonight, Tonight. Listening to the Invisible Touch album from 1986—specifically tracks like Invisible Touch, Throwing It All Away, In Too Deep, and Land of Confusion.

David Bowie - Let's Dance David Bowie's Cat People (Putting Out Fire) is such a vibe. Every time I hear that track, I’m instantly transported back to those late nights driving through downtown Chicago with the windows down. It just hits different. Spinning the Let's Dance vinyl from '83 today—it’s got Let's Dance, China Girl, Modern Love, and Without You. Always a classic.

The topic at hand concerns studio albums released on Vinyl Record that feature a significant concentration of singles within their tracklist. Specifically, I am looking for albums where at least half of the songs were previously issued—or perhaps concurrently released—as standalone singles, such as 7" or 12" formats. To clarify the parameters: if a particular Vinyl Record contains eight tracks, then four or more of those compositions must have been released as singles in any given market. I am interested in identifying those specific instances where the album functions essentially as a collection of previously established hits.
Pick any track from the album for the illustration; the only thing that truly matters is that you specify which studio album it belongs to and list the associated singles.
Compilations, naturally, are excluded.
Live albums present their own set of challenges as well, though it is likely quite difficult to find an instance where half of the tracks were originally released as singles in their live versions.
Only albums released prior to 1999 are under consideration.

01 Iggy Pop - Hide Away (Vinyl Record - Blah Blah Blah - 1986 - singles Cry for Love, Wild One, Fire Girl, Isolation, Shades)

Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love Queen - Crazy Little Thing Called Love The 1980 vinyl record release, featuring Save Me, Play The Gama, Another One Bites the Dust, and Genesis - Tonight.

Genesis - Tonight Tonight, Tonight, Tonight. The 1986 release of the Invisible Touch album remains a significant moment in musical history. Within this collection, we find several standout singles that define the era: Invisible Touch, Throwing It All Away, In Too Deep, and Land of Confusion. Each track serves as a testament to the polished production standards of the mid-eighties.

David Bowie - Let's Dance There is an undeniable, almost heavy weight to David Bowie’s "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)." When you sit with it, you realize it isn't just another track on the soundtrack; it is a calculated, moody masterpiece that captures a specific kind of urban desperation. The production feels dense, almost claustrophobic, which perfectly mirrors the lyrical descent into that dark, feline instinct. It’s one of those songs where Bowie seems to be staring right through you, delivering those lines with a weary authority that most modern artists simply cannot replicate. It’s sophisticated, it’s cinematic, and frankly, it’s far more substantive than the filler we see being pushed today. Let's dance back to 1983 with the Let's Dance album, featuring the standout tracks Let's Dance, China Girl, Modern Love, and Without You.

Everything seems fine... except for one little thing. Instagram has only dropped four official singles from the debut album, and since the full record has nine tracks, the math just doesn't quite add up yet...

It’s going to need a tiny bit of tweaking...
