I’ve got a rig running a 5600g that I put together just a few months back.
At first, I was getting these constant "driver timeout" errors where the screen would just go black for a few seconds before snapping back to life.

Updating the drivers didn't fix a damn thing; instead, things escalated to the PC randomly rebooting itself or, more entertainingly, presenting me with a Blue Screen of Death that requires a manual hard reset to get anything moving again.

And yeah, the occasional BSOD pops up just to keep me on my toes...

Has anyone else dealt with this kind of headache, and does anyone have a clue what might be causing such a mess?

Yeah, that "g" at the end of the 5600 means it's got integrated graphics.

I mean, sure, you can use hers, but an external GPU is also an option.

It honestly looks like a GPU or memory issue to me. If you're running on integrated graphics, it's pulling from your RAM, so maybe try running MemTest first? You could also try downclocking the RAM or testing the sticks one at a time if you have two...
