I've been a user here for three years... including one, let's call it an undeserved, infraction regarding a question I had about Facebook
on the thread Reddit > Information Technology > Internet > Web
page 261, posts numbered 5203, 5204, and 5205
basically, I asked a question under post 5203, where I received a sarcastic reply in post 5204, to which I responded as minimally as possible in post 5205...
I got an infraction for that... though I figured, whatever... this was two years ago
anyway, as a model user with three years of seniority and one infraction... which I consider unjustified, I find myself wandering into a sports thread about MLS, where back in 2022, I was reading endless essays in the MLS 2021/2022 Vol. 2 thread about how sacred certain clubs and fanbases are, and all the nonsense regarding how some team was robbed when they first made it to the top flight back in the 2009/2010 season...
meaning, that team has been in the league for 12 years now and people are still whining about it...
furthermore
thread Sports > Soccer
MLS 2021/2022 Vol. 2... on page 217, post 4325, there's heavy whining about a referee stealing from "our team"...
long story short, on page 220, I get involved with my first few posts in that thread, numbers 4396 and 4400, which were more or less civil... but then in post 4401, someone responds somewhat rudely, so I hit back satirically...
I wasn't really participating in the thread; I was just lurking... because it's like their thread, so they can just complain and comfort each other there...
ultimately, I end up banned from a thread where absolutely every single post is just trolling or constant complaining...
WTF...
