I have to admit, Ferrari just didn't get the luck they needed today. When BOT went off, they were flying yellow flags, and it wasn't until after VER set his time that those red flags actually came out.
Ferrari really missed their window when MAG spun out earlier.

Those qualifying sessions—or more like race controls, given all the red flags—were honestly a mess. They could have just waited a beat to see if the driver was going to crawl out of the gravel. There were better ways to handle this—for instance, they could have just thrown out a ten-second Virtual Safety Car instead of killing the session entirely.

Honestly, that was probably the worst qualifying session I’ve seen in my entire life. Thank God I just watched the highlights instead of sitting through a live stream... otherwise I would've wasted about 90% of my afternoon watching total garbage.

I just hope the rain stays away this weekend. Today was honestly a slog to watch. I was counting down the minutes until it ended; I truly didn't care who took the top spot, even if it had been KMag.

Shame about the rain. It was impossible to tell if Mercedes actually messed up or if they just didn't do enough.
The car is still bottoming out. I can practically hear the floor scraping the asphalt every time they hit a bump. They’ll probably get it sorted by tomorrow or right before the race, though.

Honestly, it boggles my mind how easily they wave those red flags around.
Lando Norris stood there in the sun for maybe ten seconds before they immediately went throwing a red flag. The guy just casually strolled back to his car about half a minute later like nothing happened.

Qualifying just got pushed back by two freaking hours. Are you kidding me?

It’s actually the exact opposite. Everyone is facing the same conditions. This is how you actually tell who the better—the more versatile—driver really is.

It’s actually the exact opposite! Everyone should be facing the same conditions. That's the only way you can actually tell who the better driver is... who's got the real versatility...

Yeah, sure, when they actually get on track. But besides Q1, there hasn't been much actual driving going on because of all those damn red flags...

There’s still a chance for a win, though. It might happen tomorrow instead of today—I suspect that rain forecast for tomorrow will change everything.

Max pulled a faster first lap, there’s no denying that. But Charles Leclerc was looking incredibly quick throughout the entire sprint qualifying session. Honestly, if it hadn't been for that red flag, I really believe the battle for P1 would have come down to the wire. If you had asked me earlier, I actually would have bet on Leclerc taking the pole over Max.

Twenty cars just doesn't feel like enough for a full grid. I can't help but wonder when we'll finally see Andretti and Alpine join the fray in 2024.

I was wondering if anyone had any insight into why Max was sliding off the track so frequently yesterday? I know the rain played a part, but it felt like there was something else going on there.

And just like that, we're looking at a yellow flag... definitely not the best omen for tomorrow's race.
